Week One Action: Commit to one thing…

It’s January. A new year. A time for reinvention. But how often have you said that before, only to settle into your old ways? Well, not this year. Why is this 2023 different? Because we’re asking you to commit to one thing you can do to change the world just by doing your day job. Sound tricky? Don’t worry, we’ve got a simple 5-minute exercise for you… First, list the skills, talents and responsibilities you bring to your day job. Second, list any social or environmental issues you care about. Third, look at both of those lists and find a way to combine what you do every day at work, with the things you care about. If you’ve got lots of ideas, great. But remember to choose just one thing to start. Write that one thing down, in nice big letters, and put it somewhere you’ll see it every day - on your monitor, noticeboard, fridge or notebook cover. Now you’re committed. Daianna and Robbie are the co-founders of Today Do This, and they’re on a mission to make it everybody’s business to change the world for the better. They do that by helping companies live up to their impact commitments, enabling employees to take action on social and environmental issues within their day-to-day work.

We’re excited to have them kick off the Year of Action with January’s theme: changing the world at work.
